‘Bones’ Booth ‘will make Brennan jealous’

CONTAINS SPOILERS!!

Bones star David Boreanaz has suggested that his character Booth will try to make Brennan chase him in the new season.

Last month, it emerged that Katheryn Winnick has joined the show as a new love interest for Booth.

Boreanaz has now told Give Me My Remote that his character may use the relationship to make Brennan (Emily Deschanel) jealous.

“[With] his interactions with Bones, he’s going to be like, ‘Hey, look how great my life is, I’m going to try and make you jealous, look who I have’,” he said. “[He's going to] try and turn the tables around a little bit, cause that conflict… You want her to chase me this season a little bit.”

Boreanaz added that the relationship with Winnick’s character Hannah isn’t too serious, explaining: “We shot that scene [where Hannah arrives] and it’s like, ‘There you are, there it is’, that whole awkwardness. But yet, ‘Hey, I’m going to try to make [Brennan] a little jealous here.

“It’s tit for tat there. You’ve got to be able to look at it for what it’s worth and see how both relationships work with each other.”

Boreanaz also revealed that he is enjoying the storyline, saying: “I love the interaction between me and Winnick so far. It’s fun to see how [Brennan] reacts to it.”

Bones returns on September 23 on Fox. [Source]

Ausiello: Spoilers

Question: We already know that Booth met someone during Bones‘ time jump. But what about Brennan? She didn’t actually go an entire year without romance, did she? —Missy
Ausiello: No, she didn’t. She went seven months without getting any. That’s technically how much time will have passed when the season starts up. In related news, Brennan is in what exec producer Stephen Nathan calls a “surprising situation” when we meet up with her on that archaeological dig in Indonesia.

Question: I love your Bones scoops. Could I pretty please have another one? —Chandler
Ausiello: All this talk about a Bones character getting killed off may be much ado about bupkes. “Whether or not we’re going to have an actual fatality is still under discussion,” maintains Nathan. “And if it happens, it would be later in the season.” [SOURCE]

Bones Exclusive: David Alan Grier to Woo Brennan?

[SOURCE: TVGUIDE]

David Alan Grier has been tapped to guest-star as a Bill Nye the Science Guy type on Bones, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Grier will play Professor Bunsen Jude the Science Dude, a quirky host of a children’s TV program. As we first reported, he comes to the Jeffersonian Institute hoping to get Brennan (Emily Deschanel) on his show as a guest scientist.

When Brennan scoffs at Jude’s offer because she doesn’t consider him a serious scientist, Jude volunteers to work with the “squinterns” to help solve a murder case. Brennan agrees to appear on Jude’s show if he is successful.

Grier is best known for his work on the Fox variety show In Living Color and the short-lived NBC sitcom DAG. He also recently competed on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars.

Bones returns Thursday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c on Fox. Grier’s appearance is scheduled to air in mid-October.

BONES breaks off talks with The Situation

Here’s the sitch: Jersey Shore‘s superstar guido will not be appearing on Bones after all.

According to exec producer Stephen Nathan, plans to have Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino guest-star as a murder victim in a Shore-inspired episode have been scuttled.

“The Situation is not going to work out,” Nathan tells me. “There were so many contractual difficulties with MTV that it just became an impossibility.”

As a result, an actual actor will more than likely fill the minor role. “But the episode will still be our little tribute to Jersey Shore,” Nathan assures me, “and it will do what many people in America would like to see themselves—which is one of those people dead.” [SOURCE]

Fancast Spoiler

‘Bones‘ is doing a ‘Jersey Shore‘-inspired episode? Say it ain’t so! – Beverly
‘Tis so, but hear me out: This could be fun. You’ll not only lay your ears on a house mix of the ‘Bones’ theme as Brennan and Booth hit the clubs to investigate a guido dubbed The Terror, but you’ll also see Temp – who is fascinated by the “mating” rituals of this crowd – labor to adopt all of the requisite slang, yo. “Bones” meets “Jersey Shore”: Emily Deschanel Interview

The star of TV’s Bones came to the Fox party for the Television Critics Association fall press tour. Emily Deschanel is entering her sixth season as Temperance Brennan. Things aren’t like they used to be though, and Deschanel was excited to talk about the changes coming to Bones.

Unless you really want to know absolutely nothing going into this season, it should be safe to read our interview. You can kind of imagine where things were going after last season, and we’re only talking about where the season starts. Plus, the first few mysteries “Bones” herself will have to solve.

Q: You had a monumental season with the 100th episode and the kiss. How will you top that this year?

Emily Deschanel: Well, Booth and Brennan have a whole new dynamic now. We come back from far corners of the earth. Booth has fallen in love with a journalist in Afghanistan so that kind of changes the dynamic. I think the dynamic between the two characters changes because of this new person in their lives, in Booth’s life specifically. If you could look at last season as a season where Booth kind of pines after Brennan, this season may be the season where Brennan pines after Booth in her way. [READ THE REST HERE]

BONES wooing The Situation for JERSEY SHORE-inspired episode

Bones is jumping on the Jersey Shore bandwagon in a big way. Series creator Hart Hanson confirms to me exclusively that he has approached Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino to guest star in an upcoming episode inspired by the MTV phenom.

“We’re trying to get The Situation to play a murder victim,” Hanson reveals. “A guido is killed and Booth and Brennan enter that world to find out what happens. We’re not sure if it’ll happen or not. Talks are ongoing.”

According to the latest casting intel, The Sitch would play fitness guru Ritchie “The V” Genero in the October episode. The search is on for an actress to costar as Ritchie’s Victoria Gotti-esque mom.

“Bones actually understands them because she considers [guidos] a tribe,” explains David Boreanaz. Adds Emily Deschanel: “Brennan anthropologically studies them and knows the lingo and the behavior. [She's] down with the whole guido stuff.”

Deschanel predicts that the episode will be packed with Jersey Shore references. Laughs the actress: “I guarantee that there will be a fist pump.” [SOURCE]
