The next big serial killer on Bones season 9 may be coming soon, according to new spoilers.
The new serial killer after Pelant (Andrew Leeds) will be much more silent and secretive than his predecessor.
“We will not know whether or not we are meeting the person when we see the episode,” Nathan told TV Guide recently. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will definitely be keeping her eyes open for him, though.
“[Pelant's warning] is in the back of Brennan’s mind,” Deschanel explained to TV Guide. “Where she has doubts is whether, when Pelant died, their hopes of solving those murders died with him. I think she fears it did.”
Nathan added that viewers will see Pelant again on Bones, which is somewhat impossible considering he died earlier in the season, however the appearance may be a hallucination on Brennan’s part.
In other Bones spoiler news, Fox recently released a synopsis for a December episode which guest stars Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney.
In the episode, titled The Spark in the Park, the Jeffersonian team will be investigating the murder of a prominent gymnast. All evidence lead to a fellow gymnast (Maroney), but it is soon discovered that the murdered gymnast led a double life. Meanwhile, Booth gets angry at Brennan when she grows attached to the victim’s father (guest star Richard Schiff). This episode will air Friday, Dec. 6 on Fox.
Bones has cast country singer Charlie Worsham in a guest role.
Worsham will be appearing in an upcoming episode which is to be directed by Bones star David Boreanaz, reports TV Line.
The singer has been cast as an up-and-coming musician who finds himself at the center of a Jeffersonian probe.
Worsham is best known for releasing the hits ‘Could It Be’ and ‘Want Me Too’, and for touring with Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert.
Fox has announced that Bones’s current season will also feature appearances from Kelly Rutherford, The West Wing’s Richard Schiff and Olympian McKayla Maroney.
Bones airs on Fridays at 8/7c on Fox.

An interesting fact – I briefly met Charlie this last summer when my husband and I went to a concert at the Opry and did the backstage tour. *Awesome* !!
Things could get a bit physical on Bones this season. The Fox drama has booked Ultimate Fighting Championship star Chuck Liddell to guest-star on the new season’s fourth episode, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Building off his real-life persona, Liddell will play a mixed martial artist considered to be the toughest guy in the world. However, his connection to the case of the week will provide some interaction with Booth (David Boreanaz). Given that Booth is on the hunt for Pelant (Andrew Leeds) this season, perhaps Liddell’s character could give Seeley a few tips on how to inflict some pain?
Since his days as UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, “The Iceman” has appeared on such shows as Entourage, Blue Mountain State and Hawaii Five-0. He also competed on the ninth season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
Bones premieres Monday, Sept. 16 at 8/7c on Fox. Liddell’s episode, titled “The Lady on the List,” is scheduled to air sometime in October.
Do you have anything on Pelant’s next and last episodes of Bones? –Rachel
It depends on how you interpret the following. Bones will bang out six consecutive episodes this fall before (briefly) turning out the lights for Fox’s post-season baseball coverage — and it sounds like the show is going out with a home run. “We wanted to make sure that we leave that first six with a very big episode,” exec producer Stephen Nathan says of the Oct. 21 outing, which may or may not revolve around menace-to-society Pelant. “I can tell you definitely that Pelant figures in very, very, very, very heavily within the first six episodes,” teases the EP. ” But where he appears and/or vanishes, I can’t really say at this point.”
